Kordić: Excellent season in the north confirms the strength of rural tourism
Tourism Minister Simonida Kordić visited a rural household at a mountain hut within Biogradska Gora National Park, where she discussed summer season results, foreign guest interest, and opportunities for further rural tourism development with hosts. She noted that the number of foreign tourists is increasing, along with their interest in authentic experiences, nature stays, local food, and learning about local life. Mountain huts offer visitors the chance to explore Montenegro through mountain trails and lakes, interact with hosts, and enjoy traditional food and products unique to the area. The Ministry of Tourism, as she emphasized, supports improving quality and developing new tourist offerings through public calls and incentive programs in rural tourism. "In this way, we not only support individual households but also connect tourism with agriculture, stimulate the local economy, and create conditions for people to stay and work on their farms. Our goal is a strong south, a developed north, and a year-round tourist offer," concluded Kordić.
