Prime Minister Spajić today in Brussels - Montenegro closes chapters 8 and 29
In July, participating in the Intergovernmental Conference between Montenegro and the European Union in Brussels, where Negotiation Chapters 8 - Competition and 29 - Customs Union will be closed. Closing these two negotiation chapters, which belong to clusters 2 and 3, Montenegro confirms that it has achieved the necessary level of compliance with the legal framework of the European Union in the areas of competition policy and the customs union. This will bring the total number of closed negotiation chapters to 18, confirming the continuity of results in the negotiation process. Holding this Conference represents another important step in the final phase of negotiations, confirming Montenegro's commitment to implementing comprehensive reforms and the European Union's trust in the progress made. After the Intergovernmental Conference, Prime Minister Spajić, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, and Irish Minister of State for European Affairs Tomas Byrne will hold a press conference starting at 16:00. The delegation led by Prime Minister Spajić will include Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Đeljošaj, Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević, and Minister of Finance Novica Vuković.
