Berane Business Forum on Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Tourism Held

At Ethno Village Kastratović in Polica, as part of the 'Dani dijaspore 2026' program, the Business Forum 'Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Tourism – Foundations of Connecting the Diaspora and the Homeland' was held. The forum gathered representatives of state and local institutions, the economy, agricultural producers, and the diaspora. Panelists included Diaspora Minister Mirsad Azemović, Berane Municipality President Đole Lutovac, Director General of the Directorate for Agriculture Mr. Miroslav Cimbaljević, and farmer Radan Božović. Discussions focused on opportunities for developing sustainable agriculture, rural tourism, and local entrepreneurship, as well as ways to strengthen connections between domestic producers and the diaspora through investments, knowledge transfer, business contacts, and opening new markets. Special emphasis was placed on the role of the diaspora as an active partner in local community development, and on linking agricultural production with tourism offerings and preserving authentic local products and traditions. The forum provided an opportunity for exchanging experiences and ideas, aiming to create concrete partnerships and new development opportunities for Berane and northern Montenegro.
