Senate Discussed the Annual Report of the Office for Personal Data Protection for 2025
In May, the Annual Report of the Office for Personal Data Protection for 2025 was discussed and acknowledged. Jiří Kaucký mentioned the quarter-century of the institution's activity and pointed out that the Office for Personal Data Protection is at a significant crossroads. According to the chairman, the institution is forced to address increasingly complex and media- and society-exposed cases with a fundamental impact on data subjects' rights, which places exceptionally high demands on the Office's expertise, quality, and capacity. Additionally, the Office is exposed to growing judicial pressure, which strengthens the procedural position of complainants and simultaneously expands the scope of procedural obligations when handling complaints and petitions. "If the Office is to continue properly performing its statutory powers in full, it is necessary to strengthen its personnel, similar to comparable supervisory authorities abroad," said the Chairman of the Office for Personal Data Protection, Mgr.
