Kordić with Papoyan and Tadevosyan: Enhancing Cooperation in Tourism and Digitalization
The Minister of Tourism of Montenegro, Simonida Kordić, met with the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, to discuss opportunities for improving bilateral cooperation. Kordić also spoke about rural tourism development in Montenegro, the importance of establishing year-round air routes, and potential for further growth of the tourism offer through regional integration with distant markets. They discussed experience exchange in digitalization, advanced technologies, and innovation, as well as broader application in tourism. Tadevosyan shared Armenia's experiences in digitalizing various sectors, while Kordić informed her counterpart about Montenegro's activities in tourism digitalization and the significance of this sector for the overall economy. A special focus was on the planned establishment of the Tourist Information System (TIS), a digital platform by the Ministry of Tourism that will provide the tourism industry and visitors access to key services and information in one place. The meeting also served as an opportunity to exchange experiences in sustainable development, renewable energy application, and further connectivity through international programs and initiatives.
