Tax Inspections During Tourist Season: Irregularities Found at 115 Taxpayers
Inspections were focused on taxpayers in activities with increased seasonal turnover, including hospitality, trade, accommodation services, beach and tourist services, as well as other service activities with significant cash flow. During this period, tax inspectors conducted a total of 790 inspections, with irregularities identified at 115 taxpayers. The most common violations involved failure to issue fiscal receipts, non-recording of turnover via fiscal devices, failure to report workers in accordance with the law, and other tax violations. Of the total number of issued misdemeanor orders, 64 offenders accepted responsibility and, in accordance with the Misdemeanor Law, paid half of the imposed fine totaling 146,700 euros. Special focus during the tourist season was on activities with increased cash transactions to ensure proper recording of turnover and fair business conditions. The Tax Administration reminds citizens and economic entities that issuing and receiving fiscal receipts is a legal obligation and one of the most important mechanisms in the fight against the informal economy.
