Police in Kolašin Uncover Embezzlement at Elementary School – Over 5,000 Liters of Heating Oil Stolen Valued at Over 11,000 Euros

Officials from the Kolašin Department of Security have uncovered a criminal act of embezzlement committed against an elementary school, during which 5,450 liters of heating oil were unlawfully stolen from the school's reservoir, valued at over 11,000 euros. The officers took a series of measures and actions, gathered necessary information to clarify the event, and determined the circumstances under which the oil disappeared from the school’s tank. Criminal investigation indicated suspicion that M.R., an employee at the school who had access to the reservoir due to his job, allegedly conspired with S.Č., with whom he had previous business dealings. In the days prior, M.R. first turned off the nearby street lighting, then covered the school’s security camera monitoring the reservoir with a suitable object. Using a key assigned for securing the reservoir, he unlocked the lid and gained access to the oil, after which he and another person, S.Č., used a special vehicle—a tanker truck—and a pump to extract the oil, resulting in the theft of 5,450 liters of heating oil worth 11,281.50 euros.
