National Program for Building Cybersecurity Capacities for SMEs
The National Authority for Cybersecurity launched the National Program for Building Cybersecurity Capacities for SMEs. The authority conducted the first training with representatives of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as part of this program. Participants learned basic concepts of cybersecurity governance, risk management, protective controls, and cybersecurity hygiene practices to reduce exposure to threats and incidents. An important part of the activity focused on assessing the cybersecurity maturity of SMEs to identify needs and priorities for further support. This initiative aims to enhance SMEs' cybersecurity capabilities by helping them develop safer processes and practices to protect their systems, data, and services. Thanks to DCAF for supporting the implementation of this program and to all business representatives for their participation and engagement. The program also discusses national cybersecurity resilience priorities with Critical and Important Information Infrastructures and promotes Albania–Spain cooperation in cybersecurity, including a meeting between AKSK's Director General and the Spanish Ambassador to Albania.
