Announcement of the Thirteenth July Award
The jury for the Thirteenth July Award, composed of Dr. Trifun Savić (chairman), Suljo Mustafić (deputy chairman), Prof. Dr. Novak Jauković, Mitar Rakčević, Andrija Radulović, Novica Đurić, Qazim (Ćazim) Muja, held a session on the 10th in Cetinje, and decided that the 2026 Thirteenth July Award will be awarded to Dr. Sonja Tomović Šundić, a full professor at the University of Montenegro, for her work 'Literary Anthropology of Danilo Kiš'; to Dr. Snežana Dragićević and Dr. Snežana Vuksanović, doctors of biological sciences, for scientific achievements and contributions in botany in 2025; and to Dr. Nikola Vukčević, a film director and university professor, for international promotion of Montenegro and the perception of the film 'Obraz' in 2025. The decision was made by secret ballot among five candidates, including the laureates, as well as Ismet Hadžić, an academic painter, and Darko Jovović, a writer and journalist.
