Budva: Police canceled stay for three Bulgarian women registered in their country due to multiple thefts; we advise caution regarding leaving belongings unattended on beaches and other public places

Officials from the Budva Department of Security, in cooperation with officers from the Border Police Sector – foreigner inspectors, took measures in Budva to control the purpose of stay and ensure legal conditions for foreigners on our territory. As part of these measures, foreigner inspectors issued residence cancellations for three Bulgarian women. The residence cancellation with a six-month entry ban was issued for Bulgarian citizens M.D (36) and M.I (46), while a three-month entry ban was issued for Bulgarian citizen Đ.M (22). These three Bulgarian women, who stayed together in our territory, had their stay canceled because it was determined they did not use it for the purpose for which their stay in Montenegro was approved. During checks, including some conducted through international police cooperation with NCB Interpol Podgorica, authorities found that these women are registered in their home country as perpetrators of multiple thefts. In case of theft or loss of belongings, it is recommended that the victim or witness immediately call the free police number 122 and follow the instructions of the duty officer, or report the crime to the police by other legally prescribed means.
