Podgorica police confiscated eight firearms from D.L.
From Podgorica, eight pieces of firearms were confiscated—eight pistols because this person no longer meets the conditions for firearm possession, according to the new Law on Weapons and Ammunition. The Ministry of Internal Affairs – Directorate for Civil Status and Personal Documents, Podgorica Regional Unit, on August 3, 2026, confiscated eight firearms—semi-automatic or repeating short-barreled firearms of the brand "Glock." In the administrative procedure conducted, based on which the decision was made, it was concluded that because D.L. has been repeatedly recorded for violations of the Law on Public Order and Peace, the weapons he possesses could be misused, and for this reason, he no longer meets the conditions for firearm possession as prescribed by the Law on Weapons and Ammunition. Police officers, in accordance with the Law on Weapons and Ammunition, temporarily seized the aforementioned eight firearms for storage and safekeeping until a final decision by the competent authority.
