Kordić with Sidikov and Abakirov: Tourism is an important area of cooperation between Montenegro and Kyrgyzstan

Montenegro's Minister of Tourism and Chairwoman of the UN Tourism Europe Commission Simonida Kordić met in Bishkek with Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Economy and Trade Bakit Sidikov to discuss opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation, with a focus on tourism, investments, and market connectivity between the two countries. During the meeting, it was assessed that despite geographical distance, Montenegro and Kyrgyzstan have significant potential for cooperation, especially in sustainable tourism, natural resource valorization, investments, and linking tourism with the local economy. The interlocutors agreed that good political relations form the basis for intensifying cooperation, particularly in tourism, investments, and improving transportation connectivity. Kordić emphasized that Montenegro sees Central Asia as a region with great potential for diversifying tourist markets, noting that the quality of Montenegrin offerings has received strong international recognition this year. Abakirov expressed interest in Montenegrin experiences in developing quality and sustainable tourism, as well as in stronger links between the tourist industries of both countries. Kordić invited representatives of the Kyrgyz government and economy to participate in the Interregional Ministerial and Investment Forum of Europe and Asia, hosted by Montenegro in cooperation with UN Tourism, starting from the 11th.
