Gjeloshaj - Egoli: Strengthening Trade and Investment Cooperation

During the meeting, discussions focused on further improving and deepening the economic relations between Montenegro and Italy, with a special emphasis on strengthening trade and investment cooperation, encouraging new investments, and supporting existing ones. "Italy is one of our key European partners, and we want to further strengthen our relations through concrete investments, greater economic integration, and new opportunities for our economies. Montenegro remains firmly committed to its European path, and Italy's experience and support are particularly important in achieving our European vision," said Gjeloshaj. Ambassador Egoli welcomed the progress Montenegro has made on its European journey, highlighting Italy's readiness to continue supporting Montenegro in the European integration process. The ambassador praised the role and work of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Gjeloshaj in the European integration process, especially his contribution to closing seven negotiating chapters. The interlocutors exchanged views on the possibilities of intensifying cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including energy, infrastructure, tourism, sustainable development, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
