Drones for More Accurate Vineyard Monitoring: Aerial Surveys in Lješkopolje and Godinje

In 2026, support was provided for establishing modern plant protection technologies. Vineyards in Lješkopolje and Godinje were surveyed using DJI Mavic 3M drones equipped with RGB and multispectral cameras. The collected data were used to create orthophoto maps and vegetation index maps, offering detailed insights into vineyard conditions and highlighting areas needing further ground verification. This enables more precise planning of plant protection measures, better targeting of field inspections, and more rational use of plant protection products, applying treatments only where necessary. The use of drones and multispectral technologies marks an important step toward smart and precision agriculture, aiming to improve plant protection efficiency, reduce pesticide use, and minimize potential health and environmental risks. The data from these sites will serve as a baseline for ongoing monitoring, future comparisons, and improved decision-making regarding plant protection interventions.
