Information Session for Global Education Week Brings Together Teachers from 73 Institutions

In October, an online information session was held via Microsoft Teams, attended by teachers from 73 educational institutions. Particular focus was placed on developing critical thinking, media literacy, active student participation, and opportunities to contribute to a more responsible and supportive community through joint activities. During the session, participants were presented with ways to apply for and implement school initiatives, opportunities to connect with other participants, and guidelines for promoting and reporting on completed activities. Participants were introduced to publications and accompanying campaign materials: the Global Education Week 2026 Information Brochure, the Concept Document, the Code of Conduct, the consent form, and campaign posters. Speaking about her school’s experiences, one participant presented the initiative “Circle of Peace – The Peace Notebook through Montenegro,” which emerged from students’ messages of peace during the previous Global Education Week. Global Education Week is coordinated by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe and the Network of National Coordinators, within the framework of the joint European Union–Council of Europe programme iLEGEND III.
