Training of users of plant protection products
The Food Safety, Veterinary, and Phytosanitary Affairs Directorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management - Directorate for Advisory Services in Plant Production, the Institute of Public Health, and the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and Urban Planning continues with training for users of plant protection products. To establish a system that eliminates the negative consequences of pesticide use, it is necessary for all participants and interest groups to recognize their roles, whether they are farmers applying the pesticides or distributors selling them. The training aims to ensure the sustainable use of pesticides and to establish an EU system for the trade and use of pesticides, where only individuals with proper authorization and a completed training certificate will be able to purchase pesticides. Completed registration forms with a copy of an ID card can be submitted by mail or in person at: (1) regional offices of the Advisory Service for Plant Production in Bijelo Polje, Berane, Bar, Herceg Novi, Cetinje, Nikšić, and Podgorica; (2) at the archive of the Food Safety, Veterinary, and Phytosanitary Affairs Directorate, ul. 26, 81000 Podgorica; or (3) via email at upravazabezbjednosthrane@ubh.gov.me. After successfully completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of passing the specialist course, which will be used to register in the Register of users of plant protection products. Based on the certificate, the Directorate issues an authorization that allows the purchase of plant protection products. We remind all users who submitted requests previously but did not attend training to contact us if they have changed addresses or phone numbers so we can inform them about the location and date of upcoming trainings.
