Six Ukrainian Citizens Expelled: Established a Collaborative Network with a High-Risk Organized Crime Group in Montenegro

Police officers conducted multi-day operational activities aimed at identifying foreign nationals whose stay and activities in Montenegro could pose risks to internal and national security, during which six Ukrainian citizens were detected. They are suspected of establishing a collaborative network with a high-risk organized crime group in Montenegro. To prevent illegal activities in Montenegro, the police, within their jurisdiction, initiated the termination of temporary protection for these individuals, granted under a decision for Ukrainian nationals, due to reasons related to internal and national security. After the protection was revoked, six Ukrainian citizens—D.S. (31)—were deported with a five-year ban on re-entry after law enforcement measures. They were forcibly removed through border crossings at Podgorica Airport and Božaj. Another Ukrainian citizen, currently outside Montenegro, was also banned from entering the country on the same grounds. During the measures, officers seized various technical communication devices, GPS tracking devices, drones, binding materials, and other items. The police will continue coordinated activities to protect internal security, maintain a stable security environment, and take timely legal measures to safeguard Montenegrin citizens, as well as monitor the stay and activities of foreigners in the country to identify and prevent security risks.
