Continuation of Targeted Operation: Marijuana Found in Internationally Wanted OKG Member

Officers of the Western Regional Security Center last night, taking further measures and actions after executing a targeted operation to locate and arrest an internationally wanted person, conducted a search of the premises where A.T. (19), a citizen of North Macedonia, suspected of attempted murder, was hiding. During the search, illegal drugs, specifically marijuana, were found and seized from him. The state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the event and will provide a legal assessment later. We remind that officers of the Western Regional Security Center, in a targeted and coordinated operation, acting on an international warrant from NCB Interpol Podgorica, yesterday located and detained A.T., a member of an organized criminal group (OKG), for whom an international arrest warrant was issued on suspicion of attempted murder. The police administration warns that all persons providing logistical support or assisting in hiding internationally wanted persons to evade arrest or criminal responsibility will be identified and prosecuted according to law, noting that providing such assistance is a criminal offense.
