Twentieth Annual Working Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture from Southeast Europe
The twentieth annual working meeting of ministers of agriculture from Southeast Europe (SEE) will be held on the 30th in Belgrade, Serbia. The event will be organized under the joint auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia and the Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development (SWG) in Southeast Europe. The meeting will bring together ministers and heads of delegations from across the SEE region to engage in high-level discussions on the future of agriculture and rural development. This year's agenda will focus on progress related to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the IPARD program, European integration, potential strategic partnerships for improving practices and capacity building, addressing climate change and fire risks in the Western Balkans, and reviewing regional cooperation in the agri-food sector within SWG. The increasing role of the Berlin Process and regional political dialogue in promoting policy alignment in agriculture and rural development in Southeast Europe will also be discussed. Additionally, conclusions from the 'Pristina Agenda 2026' Agricultural Policy Forum for Southeast Europe will be presented and considered.
