Minister Ćulafić discussed with US Embassy representatives about the Ministry's priorities

The Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and Northern Development Damjan Ćulafić met with the chargé d'affaires ad interim of the U.S. Embassy in Montenegro, Michael Keays, and the deputy head of the political-economic section of the Embassy, Michael Ball. Officials exchanged information about priorities and discussed areas of mutual cooperation in sectors under the Ministry's jurisdiction. Minister Ćulafić emphasized the importance of this year, when Montenegro marks 35 years since the declaration of the ecological state, and highlighted the significance of establishing the Natura 2000 ecological network as an important step in the EU accession process. "Establishing the Natura 2000 network demonstrates our commitment to nature protection and alignment with European standards, which is crucial for Montenegro's future," said the minister. Chargé d'affaires Kiz highlighted the important work the minister is doing to protect Montenegro's natural beauty for future generations through national parks and to preserve natural resources for the well-being and prosperity of the Montenegrin people. The interlocutors confirmed mutual readiness to continue and improve cooperation between Montenegro and the United States.
