Vučurović: Continuing reforms and cooperation between the Government and Parliament are important for Montenegro's European path

Minister without portfolio for coordination of cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities Jovan Jole Vučurović stated that effective cooperation between the Government and Parliament, as well as ongoing work on adopting laws and implementing reforms, are crucial for Montenegro's European agenda. He pointed out that the results have been recognized by Brussels. Regarding Montenegro's full membership in the European Union and the possibility of accession 'at different speeds,' Vučurović emphasized that Montenegro's goal is to become a full member of the EU, continuing to meet the obligations of the negotiation process. He highlighted that achieving the goal of closing 15 negotiation chapters requires ongoing intensive work on fulfilling the commitments from the negotiation process. He noted that, in the past, European policy was mostly promoted at a declarative level, but now the focus is on concrete implementation of reforms and fulfilling negotiation obligations. For Montenegro's further progress towards the EU, it is necessary to continue implementing reforms, strengthen institutional capacities, and ensure effective cooperation among all relevant institutions.
