Lay a wreath at the memorial in Kuči

Vice President of the Government Aleksa Bečić, Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović, and Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro Brigadier General Miodrag Vuksanović laid a wreath at the memorial in Kuči on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Fundina. This act is a reminder that the memory of Fundina is not just about the past but a lasting obligation to protect the state, its institutions, peace, and unity, built on the sacrifices of generations who fought for Montenegro to be free, internationally recognized, and permanently established among European countries. Minister Krapović emphasized that nurturing the culture of remembrance is a duty of all generations, urging us to honor the glorious pages of Montenegrin history and those who contributed to its freedom and sovereignty. The wreath-laying paid tribute to participants of one of the most significant battles in Montenegrin liberation wars, whose bravery and determination left a lasting mark on the country's history and are an important part of its national and military heritage. Brigadier General Vuksanović highlighted that the Montenegrin Army proudly inherits a rich military tradition, with the Battle of Fundina remaining a symbol of courage, honor, and loyalty to the homeland. These values continue to guide the modern, professional, and credible Montenegrin Army, ready to face all challenges and support the citizens and the state.
