Ulcinj: Drone-verified traffic violations: More drivers sanctioned for risky overtaking; Police will also record improper phone and seatbelt use

Traffic police officers from the Ulcinj Safety Department, with assistance from the Bar Safety Department, conducted a local intensified traffic control operation yesterday from 18:30 to 20:30, using drones to detect and sanction multiple drivers for traffic violations. During the operation, drones recorded improper and risky behavior of road users, leading police officers to stop and check eight drivers. Two drivers received misdemeanor reports, while six were issued violation tickets. Additionally, one license plate was temporarily confiscated. The sanctioned drivers committed violations directly endangering traffic safety—improper and risky overtaking over continuous and dashed lines and overtaking a column of vehicles—putting lives and other participants at risk. Traffic police across Montenegro will conduct daily traffic monitoring and recording, with particular focus on speeding, risky and improper overtaking, mobile phone use while driving, seatbelt non-use, and other behaviors endangering road users' lives.
