Open Meeting on Bilateral Cooperation between Greece and Montenegro
State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, Tatjana Ćalasan, addressed the official opening of a meeting on bilateral cooperation between Greece and Montenegro, held on the 14th. The meeting was attended by a delegation from the Hellenic Republic led by Konstantinos Julekas, Greece’s Deputy Minister of the Interior for Macedonia and Thrace, together with Dimitros Joldasis, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Montenegro. In her address, the State Secretary emphasized that Greece is a consistent friend and supporter of Montenegro’s European path, recalling that it was at the 2003 Thessaloniki Summit that this perspective was reaffirmed. She stressed that, now that Montenegro is closer to European Union membership than ever, it expects this perspective to translate into concrete results through investment, exchange and knowledge. “The best results emerge where the economy and academia meet: when universities educate the professionals the economy needs, when research becomes a product, and when an idea becomes a company.” As she stated, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation is ready to support any initiative arising from this meeting that develops into a concrete project.
