Blagojević: Growth in overnight stays, longer stays, and tourist satisfaction confirm a good development direction for Montenegrin tourism

This year's results of the tourist season confirm that Montenegro is experiencing stable growth and that all participants in the tourism sector can be very satisfied with the current season, said Olivera Blagojević, General Director at the Ministry of Tourism, to Prva. It is particularly important that these data show an extension in the length of stay, now exceeding five days, which is one of the key indicators for overall tourist revenue, Blagojević explained. This indicates that tourism growth is not solely tied to traditional mountain resorts, which are naturally full, but that tourist traffic is also intensifying in other municipalities in the north of the country, she added. Regarding Montenegro's international position, Blagojević reminded that this year the country is listed among the most desirable tourist destinations, confirmed by positive tourist reviews on service quality, tourist offer, natural beauty, and overall impression of Montenegro. German tourists have also returned in large numbers, with a growth of over 10% in arrivals and more than 20% in overnight stays. The Ministry of Tourism will continue working, in cooperation with local governments and the tourism industry, to improve the quality of the tourist offer and create conditions for sustainable and balanced tourism development across all parts of Montenegro.
