Decree on sampling and monitoring of contaminants in food adopted
The decree on the method of sampling food, laboratory testing methods, and monitoring of contaminants in food was published in the 'Official Gazette of CG', number 81/2026 on the 12th. The decree regulates sampling, laboratory testing methods, and monitoring of contaminants in food, including control of metal levels, process contaminants, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), perchlorates, and acrylamide. The decree transposes Regulation (EC) No. 333/2007 into national legislation, which establishes sampling and analysis methods for controlling trace element levels and process contaminants in food.
