Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between the Food Safety, Veterinary, and Phytosanitary Affairs Directorate and the NGO Center for Bird Protection and Research
On the premises of the Food Safety, Veterinary, and Phytosanitary Affairs Directorate, on the 24th, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Directorate and the NGO Center for Bird Protection and Research (CZIP). The memorandum was signed by Director Vladimir Đaković and Executive Director of CZIP Jovana Janjušević. The memorandum establishes cooperation between the two institutions within the project "LIFE DinPin Bear - Towards the Conservation of the Dinaric-Pindus Brown Bear Population," which focuses on the protection and monitoring of the brown bear population. The cooperation will involve information and data exchange regarding the presence, movement, and distribution of brown bears, support in planning and implementing field activities, collection of biological samples for genetic analyses, joint participation in capturing, immobilizing, sampling, and telemetry marking of individuals, as well as organizing training sessions and meetings important for the project's implementation.
