Minister Butorović in Berane: Enhanced inspections of pellet producers to follow

Minister without portfolio Milutin Butorović visited the Municipality of Berane, where a meeting was held with Municipality President Đole Lutovac, Secretary for Inspection Affairs Dragan Zečević, and Head of the Communal Police Aleksandar Ojdanić. The meeting was also attended by Andrej Vučeković, adviser to the president of the Coordination Body for the Harmonization and Monitoring of Inspections, and Mijomir Tapušković, chair of the working group. The discussions focused on improving cooperation between state and local authorities, more effective coordination of inspection services, and preparations for the upcoming winter tourist season. Berane will serve as an important coordination point for joint inspection activities in northern Montenegro, from which activities involving other municipalities, including Plav and Gusinje, will also be coordinated, with the aim of ensuring more effective market oversight and timely responses to identified irregularities. Joint and coordinated actions by seven inspectorates—labor, tax, health, sanitary, tourism, market, and food safety—will also be carried out during the winter tourist season. The participants emphasized that coordinated action by state and local authorities will continue, with a firm approach to market control and consistent enforcement of legal regulations, particularly during the period of increased demand for heating fuels.
