Nikšić police discovered marijuana plantation in family house yard and seized cannabis plants, weapons, ammunition, and drone; father and son detained

Officers of the Regional Security Center "Zapad" – Nikšić Security Department, conducting ongoing activities to detect, suppress, and prevent street drug sales, detained two individuals, father and son, M.M. (59) and P.M. (27) from Nikšić, upon order of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica. They discovered a marijuana plantation in their yard. The suspects were found with an air rifle, ammunition, parts of weapons, a surveillance drone, and items used for weighing and packaging drugs. The event was reported to the state prosecutor, who ordered their detention on suspicion of committing crimes related to unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of narcotics, as well as illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. They will be brought before the competent prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica with criminal charges. The Nikšić police's actions reaffirm the commitment to identifying criminal activities related to drug abuse and apprehending individuals involved in the production, distribution, and trafficking of narcotics.
