Petnjica: Criminal charges against three individuals suspected of animal cruelty and abuse

Officials from the Petnjica Police Unit, upon the order of the public prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane, filed criminal charges against a 15-year-old minor from Petnjica for suspected animal killing and abuse, as well as destruction of their habitat, and against A.R. (26), also from Petnjica, for allegedly inciting the minor to commit these crimes. On the same day around 9:00 PM in Sastavci, Petnjica municipality, near an elementary school, they allegedly tortured and abused a black mixed-breed dog weighing about 10 kilograms and aged between six and eight months, which was ownerless. They are also suspected of inciting the minor to commit these crimes by telling him to catch the dog and throw it into the river, promising him monetary compensation. Police officers, acting on the report, took measures, identified all persons involved, and collected necessary information. The public prosecutor in Berane was informed of all findings, legally qualified the event, and ordered the criminal charges to be filed against the suspects.
