Krapović with the French Ambassador about strengthening defense cooperation

Minister Krapović wished the ambassador a successful term, emphasizing that France is a traditionally friendly country and a very important European ally for Montenegro, sharing common values and a commitment to peace and stability. Krapović highlighted that defense cooperation is one of the key pillars of the strategic partnership between the two countries, further supported by the intergovernmental agreement on defense cooperation, which officially came into force this year. The minister informed the ambassador that Montenegro, as a responsible NATO member, continuously increases defense expenditures, with a special focus on modernization and improving defense capabilities. Ambassador Humbert-Bouvier expressed satisfaction with the intensity and quality of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the defense sector, and expressed hope that it will be more substantive and continue to develop through joint projects of mutual interest. She emphasized that France will continue to provide strong support to Montenegro on its European path, recognizing it as the next EU member and a credible and reliable NATO ally. At the end of the meeting, Minister Krapović wished Ambassador Humbert-Bouvier a successful mandate, confident that the excellent dynamics of cooperation between Montenegro and France, both in defense and other areas of mutual interest, will continue and further improve during her term.
