Ibrahimović receives farewell visit from UK ambassador Don Meken; gratitude for dedicated diplomatic engagement and contribution to strengthening the partnership between the two countries

The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ervin Ibrahimović, received today the UK ambassador to Montenegro, Don Meken, on her farewell visit. During the farewell meeting, Minister Ibrahimović thanked her for her dedicated work during her diplomatic service in Montenegro and her significant contribution to further improving friendly and partnership relations between the two countries. He particularly highlighted her commitment to strengthening political dialogue, cooperation in security and defense, Montenegro's European integration, as well as support for reform processes and regional stability. In this regard, Ambassador Meken expressed satisfaction that during her tenure she witnessed Montenegro's achievements in fulfilling its main foreign policy goal — EU membership. Ibrahimović also recalled his official visit to the United Kingdom in April last year, assessing that it provided a strong impetus for further development of bilateral relations and resulted in concrete advances in political, security, and sectoral cooperation. Additionally, he pointed out that Montenegro especially values the continuous support of the United Kingdom for our country's European perspective and the Western Balkans region.
