Improving Occupational Safety and Health through Regional Cooperation and Exchange of Experiences

Representatives of the Directorate for Occupational Safety and Health—Director General Danijela Šuković, Head of Department Maja Mijović, and Independent Adviser Jovana Bošković—recently paid a working visit to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This activity stems from the Occupational Safety and Health Action Plan and aims to connect occupational safety and health policymakers. The meetings addressed evident problems in implementing occupational safety measures, further strategic objectives with particular emphasis on strengthening the role of authorized organizations, as well as the actual situation on the ground and the role of supervisory mechanisms. In addition to cooperation with the Federal Ministry, cooperation was also established with the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs. The conclusion of the working visit was that cooperation should continue toward improving this area at all levels of activity.
