Digital Education Streamlines Rehabilitation of Injured Soldiers in Ukraine
The project is led by five allied countries: the United Kingdom, Norway, Lithuania, Sweden, and Latvia, each responsible for their rehabilitation sites. It consists of four sub-areas: upgrading facilities and outdoor environments, modernizing equipment, medical skills development, and knowledge transfer to Sweden. To maximize practical training effectiveness conducted on-site in Ukraine, an initial digital training focusing on theory is provided. In addition to enhancing the skills of Ukrainian healthcare personnel in their current roles, the training is also designed to support their future. The project is now moving into the next phase, which involves planning and renovating facilities, as well as procuring and installing necessary equipment to better meet rehabilitation needs. The renovation of physical environments begins in the fall, with the project concluding in 2027.
