Decree on food and food ingredients treated with ionizing radiation adopted
The Government of Montenegro has adopted a Decree on food and food ingredients treated with ionizing radiation, published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro, number 116/2026, dated May 5. The decree stipulates requirements for food and food ingredients treated with ionizing radiation, including their production, marketing, and import. The decree transposes Directive 1999/2/EC and Directive 1999/3/EC into national legislation, which regulate the area of food and food ingredients treated with ionizing radiation.
