In 2026, the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development announced the need for a General Director at the Directorate for Ecology. The competence, knowledge, and skills of candidates meeting the public competition requirements for the position of senior official in the administration are verified according to the conditions of the competition and in accordance with the Regulation on criteria and procedures for verifying knowledge, skills, competencies, and abilities for work in state bodies. Each correct answer on the test is awarded one point, with a maximum of 15 points per competency. Candidates who score at least eight points in each competency on the general test submit a written work to the Commission, which includes: 'Assessment of priorities and proposals for improving work processes or the situation in the area for which the candidate is appointed.' Specific competencies are evaluated based on criteria such as ability to analyze the situation, set priorities, innovativeness, initiative, clarity, and work structure. On the structured interview, general competencies are assessed: oral communication, learning and development orientation, cooperation, and managerial competencies: work organization and human resource management, and strategic management abilities. Only candidates from the list who meet the competition requirements can participate in the verification process. Candidates must present their ID or other photo ID to the Commission before the verification begins.
