Increased Police Activity: More Than a Kilogram of Marijuana Found on a Bus

Officers of the Criminal Police Station of the Pljevlja Security Department, in coordination and cooperation with the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje, undertook activities aimed at combating drug abuse and identifying and prosecuting individuals involved in the unauthorized production, possession and street sale of narcotics. On the orders of the state prosecutor, N. was arrested. Specifically, officers of the Drug Crime Unit of the Pljevlja Security Department, on the 25th, in Đurđevića Tara, checked N. M., who was traveling on a bus operating on the Podgorica–Pljevlja route. On that occasion, two packages containing more than one kilogram of marijuana were found in his possession. On the orders of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje, he was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs. He will be brought before the competent state prosecutor for further proceedings, together with a criminal complaint. Officers of the Pljevlja Security Department are continuing planned and targeted activities aimed at combating drug trafficking, with particular emphasis on detecting and preventing the street sale of narcotics.
