Strengthening Economic Ties and Investment Cooperation Between Montenegro and Egypt
General Director of the Directorate for International Cooperation, European Integration, EU Funds Implementation, Electronic Communications, Postal Services, and Radio Spectrum Igor Vučinić today received His Excellency Mahmoud Mostafa Afifi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on a farewell visit. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the bilateral relations between Montenegro and Egypt are characterized by long-standing friendship, mutual trust, and constructive dialogue, with a shared commitment to further enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest, especially in the economy and investments. The interlocutors assessed that there is significant potential for stronger connections between business communities and the realization of joint projects, along with further development of the institutional framework to support these efforts. Ambassador Afifi expressed Egypt's interest in investing in Montenegro, particularly in infrastructure projects, renewable energy sources, and water resource management, highlighting Egypt's extensive experience and expertise in these sectors, which provides a good basis for knowledge exchange and the development of concrete initiatives. At the end of the meeting, Vučinić thanked the ambassador for successful cooperation and contributions to improving bilateral relations, expressing confidence that the friendly relations between Montenegro and Egypt will continue to develop to mutual benefit.
