Vuksanović at A5 conference in Zadar

At the conference of chiefs of general staff of the member states of the Adriatic Charter (A-5), Croatia handed over co-presidency of this regional initiative to Montenegro. General Vuksanović highlighted the importance of rapid response in crisis situations, emphasizing the need for a clear regional mechanism that enables quick assessment of needs and available capacities. "Military mobility should not only be measured by how quickly we can move forces, but also by how effectively our regional infrastructure and procedures can support our citizens during a crisis," he stated. Speaking about the upcoming period and Montenegro's assumption of the A-5 presidency, General Vuksanović expressed Montenegro's readiness to continue working on practical improvements in regional cooperation. On the sidelines of the conference, General Vuksanović held bilateral meetings with the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces Europe, General Aleksus Grinkevič, Deputy Commander of NATO Joint Forces in Naples, Brigadier General Peter Scott, Chief of the General Staff of the Army of North Macedonia, Major General Saško Lafčiski, and Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier General Gojko Knežević. During the conference, the A-5 Standard Operating Procedure for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR SOP) was adopted, along with the A-5 activity map for 2026–2027.
