Ibrahimović on the eve of the Berlin Process Ministerial Meeting: Confirmed commitment to the European future of the Western Balkans
Ahead of today's Berlin Process Ministerial Meeting in Pržno, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimović hosted a welcome reception for high-level delegations and partners, and held multiple bilateral meetings. During the meeting with European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Marta Kövesi, Montenegro's position as a leader in the EU accession process was reaffirmed. It was emphasized that there remains a shared commitment to maintaining momentum so that Montenegro becomes a full member of the EU by 2028. An important part of yesterday's meetings was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger, concerning reciprocal access to the labor market for family members of diplomatic and consular staff. This agreement facilitates labor market access for immediate family members of diplomatic personnel, further strengthening bilateral relations and practical cooperation between Montenegro and Austria. The first day of the meeting concluded with a working dinner and a welcome reception on the coast, where Minister Ibrahimović hosted delegation leaders. The warm meeting and discussions served as a prelude to today's plenary sessions dedicated to security, economic development, and the region's European future.
