Training Held on Preparing Project Proposals under the Horizon Europe Programme

The training was held at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro in Podgorica and brought together representatives from various sectors interested in preparing and participating in European research and innovation projects. During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn about the key elements of preparing a high-quality project proposal, from developing and presenting the project idea, through defining expected results and impact, to planning project implementation. Through lectures, practical workshops and the analysis of examples, participants worked on defining project objectives, methodology, results and impact; planning project activities and the budget; and identifying risks and ways to mitigate them. Topics also included interdisciplinarity, open science and data management, communication and dissemination of results, exploitation of results, the roles and complementarity of partners, and the potential use of AI tools in preparing specific sections of a project proposal. The particular value of the training lay in the practical work and direct interaction with the trainer, enabling participants to apply the knowledge they acquired to concrete project ideas through workshops and discussion. By organising this training, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation continues to support Montenegrin researchers, institutions, companies and other organisations in strengthening their capacity to participate in the Horizon Europe programme and prepare high-quality project proposals.
