05.10.2026 – Security Council Sanctions Committee Removes One Entry from Its Sanctions List
On this date, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to Resolution 1518 (2003) removed one entry from its sanctions list covering individuals and entities. The amendment to the sanctions list is available on the Committee’s website at: https://press.un.org/en/2026/sc16468.doc.htm. The list is regularly updated on the basis of relevant information received from Member States and international and regional organizations. In accordance with the Resolution, the Committee has made available on its website, via the following link, access to a narrative summary explaining the reasons why an individual or entity was added to the sanctions list: https://main.un.org/securitycouncil/en/sanctions/1267/aq_sanctions_list/summaries. The Consolidated Sanctions List is also updated following all changes made to the sanctions list: https://main.un.org/securitycouncil/en/content/un-sc-consolidated-list. Obliged entities under the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing are urged to regularly review the aforementioned lists in order to fulfill their obligations under the law.
