Over the Weekend, 65 Drivers Detained, Over 2,000 Drivers Sanctioned
In August, there were 53 traffic accidents on Montenegrin roads, which is 13 fewer than the previous weekend, with no fatalities. Ten people sustained serious injuries, and the same number had minor injuries. Traffic police officers, as part of intensified traffic control activities across the country, filed 220 misdemeanor reports, issued 2,060 citations, temporarily confiscated 12 pairs of license plates, and removed the same number of vehicles from traffic. Of the total drivers detained, 22 were in Podgorica, 10 in Herceg Novi, and five in Kotor. In the previous seven days, there were 139 traffic accidents with no fatalities. Traffic police filed misdemeanor charges against 401 drivers, issued 4,079 citations, detained 140 individuals for violations, and temporarily confiscated 40 pairs of license plates.
