MPNI Representatives at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Shanghai

Ms. Aleksandra Gogić and Slađana Jovetić, representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, participated in the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and the High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, held from the 17th. The conference was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, bringing together government officials, international organizations, academia, research institutions, and the tech sector from around the world. This year's edition focused on 'AI Partnership for a Brighter Future.' A key emphasis was placed on the development and application of artificial intelligence for the benefit of all societies, respecting principles of responsibility, inclusiveness, and sustainable development. The participation of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation representatives was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions with international partners on key issues related to AI application, its impact on educational systems, and opportunities to improve education quality through new technologies. During the conference, the representatives engaged in numerous discussions and side sessions dedicated to various aspects of AI development and application, including topics such as AI and the transformation of educational systems, youth and AI, rights protection in the era of artificial intelligence, and international cooperation in this field.
