By adopting the Law on Efficient Energy Use and 70 by-laws, Montenegro has largely aligned with the relevant European Union directives in the field of energy efficiency. The new Law on Efficient Energy Use aims to further improve the existing legal framework to align with the EU's basic directive on energy efficiency. The Ministry of Energy and Mining, as the competent authority, is forming a working body tasked with drafting the Law on Efficient Energy Use. On this occasion, non-governmental organizations are invited to propose a representative for the working body who has experience related to these issues.
