Borovinić Bojović in Mojkovac: Better coordination, stronger staffing for more accessible services for citizens
Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister for the health system and social welfare, Dr Jelena Borovinić Bojović, held working meetings in Mojkovac with the management and employees of the Health Centre and the Centre for Social Work. They discussed key challenges in the day-to-day operation of these institutions and opportunities to improve health and social protection for citizens. The Mojkovac Health Centre delegation, including director Dr Maja Vujisić, welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister. Representatives of the Health Centre highlighted the need to improve cooperation and coordination among healthcare institutions, particularly in organizing emergency medical services and communicating with institutions in other municipalities, in order to avoid administrative and organizational burdens that could affect the quality and timeliness of healthcare. She said the issues raised would be discussed further with the relevant institutions, with the aim of finding sustainable solutions to improve the operation of the Mojkovac Health Centre and the quality of services for citizens. During a meeting with Centre for Social Work director Vesna Rajković, head of the Kolašin branch Srđan Jeknić, and professional associate Sonja Damjanović, they discussed premises, the provision of social and child protection services, cooperation with local institutions, and strengthening support services for vulnerable groups. The participants agreed that accessible, high-quality social protection requires effective cooperation among the Centre, local government, healthcare institutions, and other bodies that can help identify citizens’ needs promptly and provide appropriate support.
