Over the weekend, 126 drivers were detained - 70 for driving under the influence of alcohol
In August, 74 traffic accidents were recorded on Montenegrin roads, with no fatalities. Sixteen people sustained serious injuries, while 22 sustained minor injuries. Traffic police officers, as part of intensified traffic control activities across the country, filed 282 misdemeanor reports, issued 1,925 violation tickets, temporarily confiscated 17 license plates, and removed as many vehicles from traffic. Of the total number of detainees, 32 drivers were detained by officers from the Podgorica Security Department, 10 by officers from the Bijelo Polje Security Department, six each by officers from the Budva and Danilovgrad Security Departments, and five by officers from the Kotor Security Department.
