Vućić Popović: Integrity and Responsibility as Foundations of Strong Institutions
Deputy Secretary General of the Government of Montenegro Irena Vućić Popović today opened a training dedicated to strengthening understanding and practical application of integrity standards and confidential counseling for individuals holding top executive positions. She emphasized the importance of continuous professional development of public officials to enhance institutional capacities and improve the quality of public administration. In her address to participants, she highlighted that modern public administration faces increasingly complex challenges and rising public expectations, and that the quality of institutions primarily depends on the expertise, knowledge, and responsibility of their leaders. Investing in professional growth and continuous education is one of the most important investments in strengthening public administration and its capacities. No function is so responsible that it does not require new knowledge, nor is there experience that does not leave room for further improvement, she stated. She particularly underscored the importance of a culture of continuous learning, experience sharing, and application of good practices as the foundation of strong and responsible institutions acting in the interest of citizens. Vućić Popović thanked the Human Resources Directorate for ongoing support.
