On the proposal of Minister Vujović, the Government adopted the Information on support for Kotor's candidacy for the 'Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2028'
The Government of Montenegro adopted, on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture and Media, the Information on financial support for the project 'Kotor – Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2028', confirming institutional support for Kotor's candidacy and further implementation of the project. 'Kotor's candidacy for the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2028. Kotor has been part of these Mediterranean flows for centuries, and with this candidacy, we want to turn that historical role into a modern program of cultural cooperation and dialogue,' said Vujović. 'Kotor builds its candidacy on values that belong to all of Montenegro, a rich cultural heritage, openness, dialogue, the meeting of different traditions, and a strong Mediterranean affiliation. The initiative was launched by 43 Mediterranean Union member states, coordinated jointly by the Union for the Mediterranean and the Anna Lindh Foundation. Aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation, mutual understanding, and dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean space, the initiative each year connects two cities from different sides of the Mediterranean. Through year-long programs, cities showcase their cultural heritage and contemporary creativity and develop cooperation among artists, institutions, civil society, and local communities across the Mediterranean.' We wish Kotor success in its candidacy for the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2028. The Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Culture and Media support initiatives of local self-governments that promote culture, dialogue, and international cooperation, and the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue is precisely an initiative that connects cities and communities of the shared Mediterranean space,
