The Office for Personal Data Protection Discussed the Practical Application of Data Protection with Regional Data Protection Officers
In October 2026, the Office for Personal Data Protection took part in a working meeting of data protection officers from regional authorities. The meeting was hosted by the Central Bohemian Regional Authority and organizationally arranged by Ing. David Burian, Director of the Department of Transfers, Accreditations and Consultations. The meeting provided an opportunity for direct professional consultations on current issues concerning the application of the General Data Protection Regulation in local government, as well as for sharing experiences from the work of regional data protection officers. The Office for Personal Data Protection supports these professional meetings as an opportunity for direct consultations with regional data protection officers and for sharing experience among authorities. It considers them an important part of methodological support for public administration in applying data protection rules in practice.
